Welcome to ipda Scotland
ipda Scotland in association with the University of the West of Scotland - School of Education is pleased to announce their joint collaboration on a 1 Day Conference on Coaching and Mentoring on Tuesday 13th March 2012. The conference is to be held at the new university campus, within a woodland park setting in the centre of Ayr. The conference is also the focus of a recruitment campaign for ipda Scotland members.
The conference seeks to explore the current and developing thinking regarding coaching and mentoring for those who work, or provide support, within learning and teaching contexts. The conference also seeks to explore the current conceptions and misconceptions.
Through a combined programme of lead presentations, plenary workshops and critical roundtable discussions, the conference aims to create an informed practitioner dialogue, across disciplines, providing a potential catalyst for engaging and enhancing the practice of coaching and mentoring within a range work based environments.
External speakers include Professor Christine Forde ( Chair: Leadership and Professional Learning) in the School of Education in the College of Social Sciences, University of Glasgow and Margaret Alcorn champion of professional learning and leadership development and National CPD Co-ordinator – (Education Scotland). There shall also be lead sessions and workshops from colleagues at the University of the West of Scotland.
